The retro feel of Bucket Knight may be too retro. Your job is to guide Bucket Knight through 25 relatively easy levels collecting coins as you go (or not, your choice). That is just about everything that can be done. Bucket Knight can move up, down, left and right.

It’s kind of like an Ash Williams (groovy!) Army of Darkness situation, but not nearly as cool. Unlike your typical knights, Bucket Knight favors more modern weaponry above the standard sword and shield.

Off you go clearing levels and collecting money, saving up for that treasure. Oh, Bucket Knight! Technically, Bucket Knight contains more gameplay features than Awesome Pea but still screams simple and basic, so much so that it is disappointing.īucket Knight tells the story of a Knight on his quest for the Holy Grail, but, alas, this knight is very poor. Then, you have Bucket Knight from Pigeon Dev and Sometimes You, the game we’re reviewing. Definitely the opposite of Awesome Pea but equally as addicting and enjoyable. Of course, I can’t mention platformers without a nod to Dead Cells, one of my favorite games of this entire generation. Very simple concept but executed almost flawlessly. Currently, I’m playing through Awesome Pea, and that only requires you to move left and right and jump. As a huge fan, I don’t even require anything too fancy. What do you mean the Holy Grail is not free?
